Rice Casserole

This delicious meal is not only quick but easy on the wallet. With only five main ingredients that are usually found in every kitchen it's the perfect meal to make when you only have 15-20 minutes. Not only is it easy but it will make enough to feed a family of four or leave you leftovers. Start with some Hatfield’s sweet Italian Sausage that adds some good flavor and protein to the meal. The addition of peppers and onions bring color and nutrition to the dish. What I really like is how Kraft’s shredded cheese pulls everything together, and you get a cheesy bite. Finish it off with Frank’s Original Hot Sauce on, it adds a nice spice.

What you will need:

1 Lb. Italian Ground Sausage

2 Cups of Minute Rice

1.5 Cups of Chopped Peppers

1 Cup of Chopped Onions.

2 Cups of Shredded Cheese

Salt

Pepper

Garlic Powder

Instructions:

Start by cooking the ground sausage in a large pan on medium-high heat. While that is cooking, heat up two cups of water in a medium pot. Add two cups of rice, stir, place a lid on and take off the heat. Once the sausage is cooked, remove from pan, and set to the side. I use a large plate with paper towels on it. Add your peppers and onions to the pan. If there isn’t enough oil from the sausage in the pan add butter or olive oil. Sear the peppers and onions. Add the sausage back to the pan. Once you stir them together, put them in the pot with the rice. Add two cups of shredded cheese. Mix everything together. Plate and you’re ready to eat!
